6 Sutherland Crescent Lower, Helensburgh

6 Sutherland Crescent Lower in Helensburgh is a villa built in the later 19th century. It is a single-storey and attic structure with three bays, constructed from squared, snecked stugged cream sandstone with ashlar dressings. The building features a base course, chamfered arrises, and ashlar mullioned windows. The eaves are bracketted, and there are finials and decorative bargeboards on the gables.

On the south entrance elevation, there is a steeply pitched gabled bay in the center, which includes two-leaf panelled doors with a plate glass fanlight above, a consoled cornice, and a half-glazed vestibule door. Above the gablehead, there is a round-arched window. Flanking the central bay are canted windows with piended roofs at the ground level, and above them is a pilastered, two-light gabled dormer that is slate-hung. The villa has 4-pane and plate glass sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, and conical sandstone stacks with moulded cans.
