Description

Circa 1870. Single storey 3-bay cottage villa. Symmetrical elevation to Wilson Street; central panelled timber door and letterbox fanlight; gable above with dummy arrow slit; flanking bipartite windows in advanced panels. 5 bays to rear with gablehead stack to centre; modern timber door. Single window to each gable at ground. Squared and snecked stugged sandstone with stop-chamfered ashlar openings to front; rubble to sides and rear with dressed margins. Base course. Bracketed eaves.

Original timber sash and case plate glass windows throughout; some 4-pane to rear; modern Velux-type rooflights front and rear. Grey slate roof. 3 corniced ashlar gable stacks with hexagonal clay cans (one lost to NE).

INTERIOR: altered. No surviving chimneypieces; modern stair to attic rooms. 2 original part-glazed timber doors (to kitchen and vestibule) with green and amber-coloured patterned factory glass; rectangular 4-pane fanlights over.

BOUNDARY WALLS: sandstone rubble wall to rear running E to W with cast clay coping. Squared and snecked sandstone wall to L at front with sliding timber door.
