Description
Glaic Cottage, located in Claddach Carinish on the Isle of North Uist, is a single-storey, three-bay Skye-type thatched cottage dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The cottage features rubble-built walls that are slightly battered, with curved angles and limewashed surfaces. There is a single window in the centre of the northeast wall and end chimney stacks. The roof is made of overhanging marram thatch, which is secured with netting and stone weights.
To the north of the cottage, there is a thatch-roofed outbuilding that was constructed after 1963.
