Description
Carinish Parish Church, likely built around 1830, is a rectangular-plan, three-bay plain church constructed from coursed, roughly-squared rubble with dressings. It features round-headed windows with a latticed glazing pattern, including two lights in the north gable, and has a gabled, rendered porch on the south gable. The church is topped with a slate roof. Inside, it retains a central, long communion table, which is a rarity, along with two panelled pews that enclose it. The interior also includes a polygonal pulpit and steps that are adorned with an ornamental wrought and cast-iron balustrade.
