Description
Taigh Violet Rose is a single-storey, three-bay thatched cottage located at 10 Uachdar on the Isle of Benbecula. It dates from the late 19th or early 20th century and features a central door. The cottage is built from rubble with squared angles and is limewashed. There is a single window in the centre of the rear wall and an end chimney, which has been repaired. The roof is thatched with reed and has a straw ridge that is secured with hazel spars. Additionally, the entire roof is netted.
