Description
South View is a single storey and attic, three-bay cottage with a thatched roof, situated in the village of Collessie, Fife. It likely dates from the late 18th century, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The cottage is built of rubble with droved ashlar margins.
On the west elevation, there are two windows and a small window in the center that was formerly a door. The south gable also features a window that used to be a door. The windows are mainly timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The thatched roof has a turf ridge and two eye-brow dormers on the rear (east) elevation. Both gable ends have ashlar skews and a chimney stack. The interior was not inspected in 2021.
