Description

South View is a single storey and attic, three-bay cottage with a thatched roof, located in the village of Collessie, Fife. The cottage is probably of late 18th century origin, with later 19th and 20th century alterations. It is of rubble construction with droved ashlar margins. There are two windows to the west elevation with a small window (formerly a door) to the centre. A window to the south gable has also formerly been a door.

The windows are predominantly timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The thatched roof has a turf ridge and two eye-brow dormers to the rear (east) elevation. Both gable ends have ashlar skews and a chimney stack. The interior was not seen (2021).
