Description

Kinneddar Cross and Burial Ground is a historical site featuring a plain stone cross, likely dating from the medieval period. The cross has a tapering shaft with remnants of chamfering and stops at the apex, and it is topped by a later iron cross. The cross is mounted on a three-stepped stone plinth. The burial ground is a walled enclosure that marks the site of the early medieval Kinneddar Church, of which no traces remain. The walls were constructed by A and W Reid in 1853.
