Description
Bellie Lodge, located at Gordon Castle, was built in 1860 and is a two-storey asymmetrical gabled lodge. It features distinct elevations facing the drive and the road. The structure is made of rubble with some harling, and it has tooled ashlar margins and dressings. The irregular three-bay frontage facing the drive includes a wide projecting gable, with the main entrance situated in the re-entrant angle. There is an additional entrance on the east gable, which is concealed by a glazed porch. The lodge has regular two-light windows with thick moulded centre mullions and either four or eight panes of glazing, while the west gable has blind windows. Between the ground and first floor windows on the west and north sides, there are plaques displaying the coat of arms and the date. The building features coped end stacks, wooden end finials, and slate roofs with projecting joisted eaves.
