Description
This is an early 19th century farmhouse located in Byres. It is a tall, two-storey building with three bays facing south. The structure is built of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The central door is concealed by a single-storey timber porch, which has glazed panels and a side entrance added in the early 20th century. The front features regular window placement, with later 19th century canted dormers in the outer bays and a single window on both the ground and first floors in the east gable. At the rear, there is a single-storey and attic wing, along with a modern single-storey harled lean-to extension on the east side. The south front has 12-pane glazing, while other areas feature multi-pane and 4-pane windows. The main house has coped panelled end stacks and a ridge stack on the wing, all covered by slate roofs.
