Description
Berbice is an early 19th century single-storey house built over a raised basement, with a two-storey and attic section at the rear on the north elevation. The house features three bays and is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled dressings. The central door is accessed by a flight of steps that oversails the raised basement, and it has a plain fanlight beneath a segmental head. The entrance includes a double-leafed panelled front door and an original cast-iron balustrade. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and there are panelled end stacks with moulded copes. The roof is slate. Additionally, there is a low coped garden wall surrounding the property.
