Description

The War Memorial in Dallas, designed by A Marshall MacKenzie around 1920, features a polished triangular stepped base that supports a hexagonal shaft topped with a stylised flame capital. The shaft is adorned with carved Empire wreaths on alternating faces. Plaques on the memorial commemorate those who fell in the wars of 1914-1919 and 1939-1945. The memorial is enclosed by a triangular low bullfaced rubble wall.
