Description

Cots Of Rhininver is a mid-19th century single-storey, three-bay cottage facing south. It is surrounded by a horse-shoe shaped former single-storey steading that completes a circular plan. The steading has been converted as part of the dwelling and is linked to the cottage at the southwest by a set-back weather-boarded porch. The exterior features harl pointed rubble with tooled rubble dressings. The central door of the cottage has been converted into a window, and there is four-pane glazing on the outer elevation of the complex, although some modern glazing has been added to the inserted windows on the inner face. The building has coped end stacks and a slate roof, which is laid in a 'two-thirds' style over the former byre.
