South Entrance Gate Piers, Dallas Lodge

Dallas Lodge is a late 17th century semi-circular range of farm offices that has one and two storeys. The eastern part of the building was incorporated into a dwelling house designed by W L Carruthers in 1901. The structure features rubble with tooled and polished ashlar dressings. At the center, there is a round-headed archway with a 1901 keystone and detailing, leading to the west where there are curved single and two-storey steading ranges. The end two-storey block has been converted into a dwelling with modern rear windows.

To the east, the curved range includes 1901 dormers that break the wallhead under round-headed gablets, with the end south gable projecting through a two-storey, nine-bay dwelling house that is positioned at right angles. The south frontage of the 1901 house is irregular, showcasing varied fenestration and glazing. The building features crowstepped gables, coped ends and ridges, and slate roofs.

Inside, the house has a simple interior with a staircase that curves up along the side of the incorporated late 17th century outside wall. Some areas still retain original pegged rafter roofs.

At the south entrance, there are gatepiers that are probably from the later 18th century. These are made of ashlar and feature moulded corniced caps and ball finials on slender bases, along with a pair of decorative wrought-iron gates.
