Achnaha

Achnaha is a pair of mid-19th century cottages that front a U-plan steading, creating an enclosed courtyard. The cottages are single-storey, three-bay structures that have been combined into a single dwelling. The symmetrical south front features two doorways flanked by windows, with the entrance on the west side partially concealed by a small modern lean-to porch. The windows have 4- and 12-pane glazing, and the roof has a central ridge with shaped end stacks, covered in slate.

The steading is arranged in a U-shape and consists of three single-storey and loft ranges made of random rubble, with tooled rubble dressings. The south facade of the north range has paired basket-headed cart bays at the center, with a loft loading door above that breaks the wallhead, flanked by stable accommodation. The east and west ranges contain byres and barns, featuring slit wall vents, louvred windows, and slate roofs.
