Description
3 Farm Cottages at Fenton Barns are two pairs of symmetrical single-storey cottages built in the later 19th century. They are constructed from squared and snecked rubble, featuring raised stugged quoins and margins, with harled rear projections.
The south elevation is arranged in a U-plan, with two windows at the center and doorways located in the re-entrant angles. Each advanced outer gable has one window. The cottages have two-leaf doors with strip fanlights. The U-plan rear has been formed by later additions.
The south-facing windows have 12-pane glazing, while the north-facing windows feature 4-pane and modern glazing, all set in sash and case frames. The cottages have straight skews, with end and ridge stacks, and are topped with slate roofs.
