Description
12 Farm Cottages at Fenton Barns, built around 1875, is a single-storey range consisting of three cottages. The structure is made of squared and snecked rubble with stugged ashlar dressings, featuring chamfered arrises at the main openings.
On the west elevation, there are three bipartite windows in the center, with gabled porches on either side. The left porch is double, while the right porch is single, both adorned with timber railings, columns, decorative brackets, and barge boarding, along with finials on the gables. The outer left side has two bipartite windows, and the outer right side has one bipartite window.
The rear elevations include piend-roofed, harled projections at the center and to the right, with a smaller gabled projection on the outer left. The cottages feature plate glass sash and case windows, coped stacks, and harled finishes on the later piend-roofed projections. The overhanging eaves are supported by timber brackets, and the roofs are covered with slate.
