Lodge, Fenton Barns

The lodge at Fenton Barns, dated 1875, is a single-storey building with a gabled design that serves as an entrance to the farmhouse. It features later extensions at the rear and is constructed from squared and snecked rubble, accented with contrasting stugged ashlar dressings and raised cills.

On the north elevation, there are two bays with an advanced gable on the left side, which includes a doorway on the right surrounded by chamfered arrises and a strip fanlight window to the left. A single window is located in the recessed bay to the right, and there is a dated panel in the gablehead.

The east and west gables are simply detailed. The sash and case windows have lying-pane glazing, and there are coped stacks on both gables. The overhanging eaves are supported by timber brackets and barge boarding, and the roof is covered with slate.

To the north, there is a curved rubble retaining wall with quadrants and coped ashlar gatepiers to the west, which leads to the house.
