Description

Dated 1875. Single storey gabled lodge to Fenton Barns

farmhouse, with later extensions at rear. Squared and

snecked rubble with contrasting, stugged ashlar

dressings. Raised cills.

N ELEVATION: 2 bays in advanced gable to left with

doorway at right, chamfered arrises to surround and

strip fanlight window to left. Single window to recessed

bay to right. Dated panel in gablehead.

E AND W GABLES: simply detailed.

Lying-pane glazing to sash and case windows. Coped stacks

to E and W gables. Timber brackets and barge

boarding to overhanging eaves; slate roofs.

Curved rubble retaining wall to N, with quadrants and

coped ashlar gatepiers to W, leading to house.
