Heatherley, 33 Abbey Street, Elgin

Heatherley is a house located at 33 Abbey Street in Elgin, dating from around 1840. It is a 2-storey building with an attic and features three bays. The structure is constructed of rubble with painted tooled ashlar dressings and margins. The central entrance is highlighted by a corniced doorpiece that has incised key pattern detailing.

On either side of the entrance, there are windows with bracketed cornices and panelled aprons. A similar window is found on the ground floor of the south return gable, which faces Institution Road. All windows have raised margins, and the first-floor windows are connected by a deep eaves band. The house also includes two later 19th-century canted dormers with 2-pane glazing. The roof is slate, and there are coped end stacks.

Additionally, there is a low coped front garden wall.
