Description

Allendale is a house located at 24 Durness Street in Thurso, built in 1835. It is a two-storey building with an attic and features a symmetrical three-bay frontage with a central entrance. The exterior is made of coursed tooled rubble, accented by contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. The entrance consists of a panelled centre door, and there are two piended dormers with fluted wooden jambs. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and the house has coped and panelled end stacks, topped with a slate roof.
