Description
Limuru is a symmetrical two-storey, three-bay house built around 1855-1860. It features tooled ashlar stone with ashlar dressings and rubble flanks. The house has an advanced gabled central bay with a door that is approached by a flight of steps, which includes an original cast-iron handrail. There is a bandcourse at the ground floor level, and the outer first-floor windows barely rise through the wallhead to gablets. The house has corniced end stacks and sawtooth skews on the central advanced gable. The windows have lying-pane glazing, and the roof is covered with slate. Additionally, there are coped rubble garden walls surrounding the property.
