Description
25 High Street in Elgin is an 18th-century building that stands tall at four storeys and features three bays. The shop windows and doorway have been renewed, and there is a narrow flat-headed entrance to a pend on the right side. The building is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings. The first and second floor windows have chamfered margins, while the third floor, added in the later 19th century, includes three windows that rise through the eaves, complete with pedimented dormer heads and finials. The building also features 19th-century crowsteps and a roll-moulded eaves course, along with renewed gable chimneys. The roof is slate with a stone ridge.
