Description
118-118A High Street in Forres is a building from the mid to late 18th century. It has three storeys and an attic, featuring three bays. The exterior is made of coursed cherry pointed rubble with raised tooled margins, although these are now painted. The ground floor has a modern shopfront and an entrance to a pend on the right side. The central bay has a wallhead chimneyed gablet with a small window that is placed asymmetrically, and the glazing includes both 2-pane and 12-pane windows. The building has coped stacks and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a three-storey, three-bay wing that is harled with chamfered window margins and also has a slate roof.
