128, 130, 132, 132A High Street, Forres

128, 130, 132, and 132A High Street in Forres is a building likely designed by William Robertson of Elgin around 1820. It is two storeys high with four bays facing the High Street, featuring a slightly recessed bowed corner, and four bays on the court side, all with an ashlar front. The building has round-arched doorways, some of which retain their original fanlights and panelled doors. There is a band course at the first floor and a lintel band course that acts as a frieze, along with a cornice that has a blocking course only on the High Street side. The upper floors have 12-pane glazing, including some blind fenestration, and there are panelled ridge and wall-head stacks. The roof is slate. The shopfronts for numbers 128 and 132 date from the late 19th century. Inside, some beaded panelling remains.
