Description
This 17th-century dovecot in New Elgin is a small beehive structure with three distinct stages. It is built from coursed rubble and features thin stone slab rat ledges, along with a circular stone coping at the entrance located at the apex. The doorway is chamfered, and inside, there are nearly 500 regular nesting boxes for the birds.
