Description
49 Reidhaven Street in Elgin is a single storey and attic house built around 1860. The building has an asymmetrical three-bay design, constructed from coursed dressed rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a doorpiece that is both pedimented and panelled, supported by pilasters with unique capitals. The southwest corner of the house has an angled canted bay that is corbelled to a steeply pointed gable above. The windows include 2-pane, 4-pane, and 8-pane glazing. The house has corniced end stacks and a slate roof. Additionally, there is a rubble garden wall surrounding the property.
