Description
55 South Guildry Street in Elgin is a building dating from around 1860. It is a two-storey structure with an attic, consisting of a four-bay range that comprises two houses. The exterior is made of tooled rubble with tooled and polished ashlar dressings, some of which are painted. Each house features paired bracketed and corniced entrances, each with double-leaf panelled doors. The windows are arranged in a regular pattern, with the centre pair of first-floor windows being slightly narrower than the others. The building has two canted dormers with four-pane glazing, corniced end stacks, and a slate roof.
