Description

50 Duncan Street in Thurso is a house built in 1863. It is a single-storey building with an attic and has three bays over a raised basement. The rear elevation also features three bays. The structure is made of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The southeast front has a central bay with a pediment, a datestone, and a central doorway that includes a panelled door. There are three gabled dormers with barge boards and wooden finials. The rear elevation has three bays and a central door. The windows have lying-pane glazing, and there are corniced end stacks. The roof is covered with West Highland slate.
