Description
12 Barrock Street in Thurso is a two-storey, two-bay house built in the earlier to mid-19th century. The structure is made of rubble with contrasting tooled ashlar dressings, featuring long and short detailing around the windows and door on the symmetrical southeast front. The rear elevation facing Barrock Street has two ground floor windows and two first floor windows, one of which is blind. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and there are corniced end stacks. The roof is covered with West Highland slate. There is a small lean-to extension on the southwest gable, and the property is enclosed by high coped rubble garden walls.
