Description
This 16th-century dovecot, located in Learmonth Gardens, Linlithgow, is a four-stage, circular-plan structure known as a 'bee-hive' dovecot. It is built of sandstone rubble and features a rat course at each stage. The dovecot has a pointed-arch doorway on the north side and a narrow rectangular flith-hole opening in the third stage facing south. The roof is flat and topped with a modern ashlar lantern. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1990.
