Description
Lochend Park in Edinburgh features a 16th-century beehive-type dovecot made of rubble stone. It has a rat-course alighting ledge at the midpoint and a circular opening in the roof. There is a large entrance on the east side, and remnants of stone pigeon hole ledges can still be seen inside. The dovecot has been altered; its top has been heightened with a collar of masonry, and a window above the rat-course has been blocked.
