Description

Bogward Dovecot is a rare large dovecot, likely dating from the early to mid 16th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a beehive shape with a steep batter. The dovecot is surrounded by modern housing development. It has three rat-courses, with a flat roof at the third rat-course that contains entry ports. There are later entry ports located above the second rat-course to the south. At ground level on the southwest side, there is a low studded timber door.
