Description
St Michael's Well, located on High Street in Linlithgow, dates back to 1720. It features a tall square pedestal made of ashlar stone, which supports a figure of the Archangel Michael. The archangel is depicted holding a shield that displays the town's coat of arms. The base of the pedestal is inscribed with the words "1720 Saint Michael is kinde to straingers."
