Description
This early 20th century fountain is located at the junction of Cove Road and Caldwell Road in Gourock. It features a small polished red granite basin set on a square granite base. The fountain has a short drum pillar adorned with an acanthus neckband. At the top, a shallow circular basin holds a substantial die, which has carved lionhead spouts on all sides. The fountain is topped with a short bronze pole designed in a barley-sugar twist.
