Description

Early to earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house with chamfered corner to NE. Variegated sandstone, coursed and squared stugged rubble to front with polished and droved dressings, coursed rubble to rear and sides. Quoin strips; raised margins; eaves band.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: regular fenestration. Pedimented doorway with plain corbels to centre, 2-leaf door and plate glass fanlight; narrow later window flanking to left.

N (JOHN STREET) ELEVATION: blank with chamfered bay detailed as above to outer right with 2 windows.

SE ELEVATION: gabled; window to outer right (at 1st floor blocked).

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: workshop extension and 2 windows.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Slate roof with metal flashings; gablehead stack to SE.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
