Description

The Bridge of Achaver is an earlier 19th century bridge built of rubble stone. It is a high single span, with a dressed rubble arch ring, slightly skewed to its original alignment. Wide, winged retaining buttresses are located at the north end of the bridge. A low parapet, also of dressed rubble, runs along the top. There is a splayed approach at the south side, and the approximate span of the bridge is 20 feet. Situated over the Clyth Burn at Bridge of Achaver.
