Description

Mid-18th century with early 19th century wing at rear;

harled with ashlar dressings. Original block 2 storeys and

attic, 5-bay front with centre door (now with modern crenellated

porch), outer windows paired, centre first floor window

round-arched and containing Gothick glazing; 3 later piended

dormers; crowstepped gables. Rear wing, tall single-storey,

basement and attic, reaching full height of original block,

3 bays, tall ground floor windows, ground floor cill course,

rusticated quoins at windows and gable, eaves course; 2

piended dormers. Slated roofs. 12-pane glazing pattern.

Garden pavilion, mid-18th century, harled with ashlar dressings.

Single storey, 3-bay front with centre door flanked by

bullseye windows; piended slated roof; ball finials at angles

of front.

Gatepiers, early 19th century, ashlar, square-plan, with

panelled faces, cornices and ball-finials; cast-iron gates

with spearhead uprights; rough ashlar dwarf walls with spearhead railings.
