Rose Court, 4 Rose Street, Fortrose

Angel Court, located at 2 Rose Street in Fortrose, is an 18th-century building that may incorporate earlier walling. The exterior is harled with painted margins and features a long two-storey and attic range that faces the garden, with access through a pend that has a depressed arch.

The building consists of Angel Court, which has four bays and a square-plan porch topped with a carved stone angel, and Rose Court, which has six bays. There are two doors, both with moulded architraves, one of which is adorned with an early 19th-century Roman Doric portico supported by two monolith columns made of red and yellow streaked sandstone. The windows are bipartite, and there are two piended dormers on the east (garden) front and three piended dormers on the street front, with a crowstepped north gable. The roof is slated.
