Description
Ruthven, located at 12 Academy Street in Fortrose, is a building from the mid-19th century with an earlier rear wing. It stands two storeys tall and features a three-bay façade with a central door. The rear wing is two storeys with an attic. The exterior is constructed of rubble with cherry pointing and has raised ashlar margins. The gable and wing are harled with painted margins. The roof is slate, and there is a piended dormer at the rear wing, although the eaves course is blocked.
