Lethington, 13 Annfield Road, Inverness

Lethington, located at 13 Annfield Road in Inverness, is a building designed by W L Carruthers in 1892, showcasing a Tudor style with harled walls and ashlar dressings. The structure is two storeys high and features an asymmetrical four-bay front, where the end bays are advanced and gabled. There is a semi-octagonal ashlar stair tower situated in the re-entrant angle of the left-hand bay and the main front.

The left centre of the building has tripartite windows, while the other windows are quadripartite, all featuring hoodmoulds at the ground floor. The stair tower includes a Tudor-arched doorpiece and small rectangular windows with hoodmoulds at the ground floor, while the first-floor windows are bipartite, mullioned and transomed with Tudor-arched cusped lights. A string course and parapet add to the detailing. The two inner bays have gablets, and the gables of the outer bays are half-timbered. The roof is slated, and there is a southwest wing that was added in 1925.
