Description
Ratagan Lodge Hotel is a house dating from around 1830 to 1840, originally two storeys high with a raised basement, and initially comprising three bays. The exterior is harled and features painted margins. The central doorway is distinguished by pilasters and a decorative cornice, leading to a flight of stairs that overhangs the basement area. The symmetrical facade is characterised by 16-pane sash windows. Chimneys are located at the ends of the building, and it has a deep eaved slate roof. A two-storey wing was added to the east gable in the late 19th century. Modern additions are present to the west and rear of the property.
