Description
Kintail Parish Church is a rectangular church constructed in 1856 by Alexander Messer. The church is built of rubble with tooled dressings and a harled south elevation. The south elevation features three long, round-headed windows, flanked by round-headed doorways. The east elevation is blind, while the west elevation has a lattice-glazed fanlight with a datestone above. The north elevation is similarly windowed. Two small, round-headed gallery windows are present on the west gable, featuring multi-pane glazing. A birdcage bellcote sits atop the west gable. A ministers’ entrance and room are located on the east gable, with a blind bull's eye window above. The roof is slate, with sawtooth skews. The interior is simple and includes a gallery. The church remains in ecclesiastical use. An advertisement for tenders appeared in the Inverness Courier on April 10, 1856.
