Description
The building is a sentry box located at Brachla, constructed between 1956 and 1967, with later refurbishments. It has a square plan and measures approximately 2 metres by 0.75 metres by 0.75 metres. The sentry box features a cross-gabled roof clad in zinc and includes a small central ventilator. It is set on a concrete base and has vertical black painted boarding on the side and rear elevations. Each side displays rectangular panels inscribed with "AA SERVICE," reflecting post-1967 re-branding. The door is plywood covered with a weathering fillet above. The front and side faces have bargeboarded gablets adorned with a square "AA" badge, also from the post-1967 re-branding.
Inside, the flooring is made of chipboard, and the walls are lined with plastic cladding over boarded timber. There is a disconnected single button telephone with a cupboard below it. A central bulkhead light fitting is positioned above a Perspex suspended ceiling.
