Description
A late 19th century manse and former church building, constructed of rubble with contrasting tooled ashlar dressings. The buildings present a continuous south-facing elevation, with the church positioned to the east and the manse to the west.
The church features a gabled porch projecting from its east gable. The south front has three bays, with a wide, gabled west bay containing a long, pointed-headed window with traceried detailing and a side entrance door. All windows incorporate simple tracery and leaded glazing. A ridge bellcote is topped with a pyramidal, bellcast slate roof and a cast-iron apex weather vane (the bell is now missing).
The two-storey manse, of irregular three-bay layout, reflects the design of the church. A projecting gabled porch, located in the re-entrant angle, masks the central doorway, which is positioned in a slightly projecting wide gabled west bay. The manse has bipartite and tripartite window arrangements, featuring two-pane glazing, and coped end stacks. Both buildings are roofed with slate, with projecting eaves.
The buildings are currently in ecclesiastical use.
