Description
The building is a sentry box located in Mid Fearn, Ardgay, constructed between 1956 and 1967, with later refurbishments. It has a square plan measuring approximately 2 metres by 0.75 metres by 0.75 metres and features a cross-gabled roof clad in zinc, along with a small central ventilator. The sentry box sits on a concrete base and has black painted plywood elevations that cover a boarded construction. Rectangular panels on the sides are inscribed with "AA SERVICE," reflecting post-1967 re-branding. The door is also plywood covered and has a weathering fillet above it. The gable ends have bargeboarded gablets that display a square "AA" badge, again indicating the post-1967 re-branding. Inside, the flooring is made of chipboard, and the walls are lined with plastic cladding over boarded timber. There is a shelving unit at the rear and a disconnected telephone.
