Drumashie Lodge, Dores Village

Drumashie Lodge is a house built between 1840 and 1850, located in Dores Village. It is a two-storey, symmetrical, three-bay structure that is harled, featuring tooled red ashlar margins and dressings. The main entrance is located in the northwest front and is sheltered by a later gabled and glazed porch that includes a side entrance. On the ground floor, there are later canted bay windows with two-pane glazing on either side, and an additional similar bay window on the off-centre southwest return elevation. The first floor retains 12-pane glazing, and the house has paired panelled ridge stacks. The roof is shallow piended, covered with slate, and has projecting soffitted eaves. There have been some later alterations and additions to the rear southeast elevation.

Additionally, there is a long rectangular five-bay rubble steading. This structure features advanced end bays with piended roofs that rise above the central three-bay byre and barn. The steading includes a gighouse with a round-headed entrance at the northeast and a bothy with a wallhead stack at the southwest, both topped with slate roofs.
