Description

House; 1840-50. 2-storey symmetrical 3-bay house. All

harled with tooled red ashlar margins and dressings. Centre

door in NW entrance front masked by later gabled and glazed

porch with side entrance. Flanking later ground floor canted

bay windows with 2-pane glazing; further similar bay window

off-centre SW return elevation. 12-pane glazing survives in

1st floor; paired panelled ridge stacks; shallow piended

slate roof with projecting soffitted eaves. Some later

alterations and additions to rear SE elevation. Steading;

long rectangular 5-bay rubble steading, with advanced

end bays with piended roofs rising above centre 3-bay byre

and barn. Gighouse with round-headed entrance at NE, bothy

with wallhead stack at SW. Slate roofs.
