Description

Westwood is a villa built around 1850, constructed from snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a rambling design with gabled roofs and broad eaves. In 1874, additions were made by A & W Reid, which included a porch with a crenellated parapet. To the west of the porch, there is a bay that has been raised and topped with a French pavilion roof that includes cresting. The north-west angle of the roof is also raised as a French pavilion roof with cresting, and this angle is canted and corbelled to a square above. The property is complemented by a garden wall made of rubble with crenellated coping and ashlar gatepiers.
