Description
The Strontian Hotel, built around 1808, is a two-storey, three-bay hotel that faces south. It features a prominent canted centre bay that rises to full height, flanked by slightly lower, two-storey, two-bay wings that are flush with the front facade and were added a little later to each gable. The exterior is harled with painted tooled margins. The centre door is located in the canted bay, which has a facetted roof and modern two-pane glazing. There are coped end stacks on both the centre and outer blocks, and the building has piended slate roofs. A substantial modern glazed single-storey sun-room with a flat roof extends across the front and side of the east wing.
