Drumnatorran Farmhouse, Strontian

Drumnatorran Farmhouse, dated 1834, is a two-storey, three-bay house facing southwest. It is constructed from squared pinned rubble granite with tooled granite dressings. An earlier traditional crofthouse, which has been significantly altered, is attached to the southeast gable and is a single storey with a harled finish.

The main southwest front features a central entrance that is sheltered by a projecting gabled porch, which has a datestone above the doorway. To the right of the entrance, there is a lean-to passage that connects the entrance and the main house to the earlier dwelling.

On the northeast gable, there is a canted bay window in the center. The small first-floor windows share a lintel with the eaves course and are fitted with two-light sashes. The house has end and rear chimney stacks and is topped with a slate roof.
