Description

72 Peel Street in Glasgow is a two-storey classical villa built around 1860. The building features a plain design with no decorative elements and has four bays, including an advanced tripartite northern section and a lower single northern bay. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar with snecked rubble on the side and rear elevations. The windows are sash and case style with simple margins.

The entrance front includes a cast-iron verandah supported by a corniced stone plinth and topped with a slate roof. There is a bay window on the ground floor in the advanced northern bay, which has a tripartite window with sidelights above. On the first floor of the southern bay, there are three plain windows with dropped cills. The villa has corniced axial stacks and features both slate and tile roofs.
