Description

H and D Barclay 1875. Classical 3-storey, attic and

basement tenement, 13 unequal bays 1st, 5th, 8th, 13th

bays shallow canted. Polished ashlar, channelled at

ground floor, rear elevation squared rubble. Sash and

case windows in architraves, lights arranged

3-1-3-1-3-3-3-3-1-3-3-1-3. Alternating main door and

close entrances each at head of steps oversailing basement

area. Ground floor plain entablature, pilaster mullioned

ground floor windows. 1st floor windows with

round-headed sculpted tympana.

Plain eaves entablature, modillion cornice. Aediculed 2

and 1-light dormers. Slate roof. Axial and end corniced

stacks.
